On Sunday 11th May from 11am-5pm, East
Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club members will showcase their vintage and classic
vehicles in our grounds. With cars, motorcycles, light commercial and
other historic vehicles, this is a chance to
admire decades of motoring history in a picture perfect location. We’ll
bring a couple of our own to the party, including a 1960 Routemaster bus. Plus
we’ll fire up the wood fired pizza oven in our restored vintage
trailer and spin absolutely the best Neapolitan pizzas.
A tremendous day for
all enthusiasts, we welcome everyone who’d like a good old
fashioned dose of nostalgia, whether in a classic car
or not. This family-friendly, laid back event raises funds for charity.
Also,
spring flowers are blooming in the garden and the house is open to explore. The
courtyard shop will be filled with new season stock, and home grown plants are
sold in the courtyard as usual. The café is open for freshly prepared meals,
home baked cakes and refreshments, and our vintage ice cream van will serve delicious local ice creams and
freshly ground coffee.
